the latest in evidence-based therapies on both an individual and group basis.

Exodus Recovery Services provides individual and group counseling, assessment, and referral to higher levels of care for motivated and/or mandated individuals. Our alcohol and drug programming combines the latest in evidence-based therapies on both an individual and group basis.

Outpatient therapy can also be helpful following inpatient substance use treatment to support the next phase of your growth in recovery. At Exodus, we recognize addiction as a chronic disease and our Co-Occurring Disorders Program addresses the complex nature between substance use, mental health, and recovery.

We provide clients who are assessed as requiring higher levels of care with referral to detoxification and/or residential services. We also can arrange referrals to housing, medical, vocational, and mental health services when appropriate. Our case management services include assisting clients to meet mandates of the courts, parole and probation, and child welfare (DHS), including reporting progress in treatment when authorized by the client. In addition, Exodus Behavioral Health is the only agency in the area certified to assess, educate, and provide follow-up planning for DOT-mandated employees through our SAP (Substance Abuse Professional) Program.

What Is a Co-occurring Disorder?

A co-occurring disorder refers to the combination of a substance use disorder and another mental health disorder (such as depression, anxiety, or PTSD) that you may be experiencing as well. Treatment for co-occurring disorders simply means viewing both conditions as primary and interrelated, rather than addressing one and then the other. Integrating treatment for mental health and substance use disorders leads to a better quality of care and improved health outcomes by treating the whole person. Many clients report increased life satisfaction once they understand how symptom management impacts – and is impacted by – getting sober.

SAP/DOT-Referred [Mandated]

SAP services make case managed treatment available to DOT-mandated employees who have violated drug and alcohol testing regulations. The SAP program consists of an evaluation, education, and follow-up planning. The SAP, or Substance Abuse Professional, is an independent and impartial clinical practitioner with appropriate qualifying credentials who assesses and recommends treatment that he/she determines will be most effective for the individual to successfully complete the return-to-duty process before being reinstated to any safety-sensitive role.
